ONCE UPON A TIME
Learning to tell stories is an incredible gift for children. Not only does it improve their skills to communicate, but also gives them confidence, further activates the imagination and helps them to develop their visual memory.
STORY THROUGH HANDS
Katherine's new workshop, Story Through Hands, gives girls a chance to connect to story through art and craft making. In the "olden days" girls were often taught how to knit, sew, paint, and darn socks from the women in the village. Katherine fondly remembers being shown how to sew and craft as a child, and enjoys sharing these skills within the community.
Story is a wonderful start for any craft projects. Katherine uses the visual landscapes from folktales as backdrops for the projects that will be created in the classes.
